I know I have not posted anything in a while but I was in a 2-week training workshop. I got back from Kasane and had about a week in the village before I had to leave again. The workshop was good in that I got to see all the other volunteers and to spend time with my friends.

Now, this may come as a surprise, but I have decided to “Early Terminate” from Peace Corps and go back to the U.S. It has been a worthwhile experience but I have discovered (after much contemplation and deliberation) that this is just not right for me. It has not been an easy decision or one that I took lightly; in fact deciding to leave Peace Corps early has been the hardest thing I’ve ever done.

I will be back in the States in about a week and I just want to thank everyone who has supported me throughout this journey. A huge “Ke a leboga” to you all!

It’s not going to be easy returning to the U.S. and I am expecting a good deal of culture shock going from an African village to North Jersey. I am sure I will be leaning on quite a few of you in making my re-adjustment.

Thanks again to everyone who has read the blog and taken an interest in my Peace Corps experience! And also thanks to my gracious Batswana hosts & hostesses!
