Hi there. It seems I haven't posted anything on my post for quite some time. I've been busy with a work camp in the mountains for two whole weeks! It was great, our Bulgarian organization found six other European nationals to come and help us with the work. Perhaps these friends I met will give me places to stay in places like Finland when I have finished my Peace Corps service! I have also been travelling around Bulgaria to everyones favorite capital of Sofia and the really stuning Rila monastery for a week. Its been a good summer, Bulgaria is a fine place that I happen to have a good time travelling around...

Can you say hot?!? Can you say smothering hot?!? Can you imagine heat so terrible that you have a terrible time doing anything but sit somewhere and wallow in your own sweat? This is Bulgaria! I am sitting here looking at a thermometer in my apartment and photographing this thermometer it reads a bit under 90 F and over 30 C! This is 8:30AM! For goodness sakes does anyone have a suggestion of how to cool off?!?

An excellent photo of The Alexander Nevski Cathedral in Sofia. Must admit I can't take credit for this one however, another Peace Corps Volunteer took this photo.

Uh-Oh. This is the first week of Peace Corps Service in Bulgaria, it ends with all the new folks together in a dress up dinner. This is from Left to Right, Julian Dunn, Myself & Chris Lillie all standing after the dinner was over.

This is the Center of Rousse, frankly I think it is an outstanding place for the Peace Corps to send me to live for two years.

Who am I? That is probably the best place to start. I am a Peace Corps Volunteer posted/living in the fine city of Rousse in Bulgaria. Why am I starting a Blog today? Another good question; the answer is because everyone’s and their dogs seem to have Blogs going on this internet creation, surely some of my observations are at least worth more than someone’s dog! How many people are in Bulgaria to comment on a place so unknown (actually the answer is around 8 million people live in Bulgaria, but surely hardly any of them keep a Blog). So if you are one of the lucky ones to find this Blog you should feel spectacularly well informed about Bulgaria and that is only going to benefit your life in many ways!
