Peace Corps Journals world's largest archive of peace corps stories

Been meaning to write up an introductory post for a while but haven't actually done it. Having trouble falling asleep so it seemed just as good a time as any. I'm basically going to use this blog to gather information about burkina and the peace corps until I go and then use it to talk about my experience once I'm there. I've found lots of interesting things about Burkina and life in West Africa in general. The best thing I've found so far was actually found by another person in my staging group, by that I mean it was on their blog so I thought I'd add it to mine as well. It's a nice youtube video from a guy in Burkina. I've embedded it below. Following suit with others I will post a packing list next because other people's lists were very helpful to me so maybe mine will be helpful to someone else. That is all for now.

Ne Y Waoongo ("Welcome" in Burkina's most popular local language, Mooré)
